What most people consider "the tooth." This is the visible portion that looks like a natural tooth.
The attachment. The crown is usually connected to the implant with the abutment. There are many different ways to make the abutment. Sometimes the abutment and crown are made together as one piece.
The artificial root. Made of titanium, this surgical "screw" will integrate with the bone. It takes approximately 3-4 months for the bone cells to grow around the implant where it is fused permanently.
These components are usually billed separately. This is because they are sometimes done by different dentist and at different appointments. We include the cost for everything in the beginning and offer convenient payment options.
